The Northumberland County Republican Committee meets at 7:00 pm on the 1st Thursday of every month, except July and December, at the Northumberland Public Library in Heathsville, VA. Visit the Event Calendar page to see a complete listing of events.
Where and when does the Committee meet?
We welcome all newcomers with interest in the Republican Party in Northumberland County. Membership is free.
To join, go to the Contact Us page, complete the form, and check the box “I would like to Join the Northumberland County Republican Committee” and a Committee Member will contact you.
How can I become a member?
The short answer is that we support and work for the election of Republican candidates in local, state, and national elections; but really, we’re working to preserve and enhance the quality of life right here. We are committed to the prosperity of the area and to healthy conditions for employment and business growth; we are committed to the protection and security of our families and communities; we are committed to fiscal integrity and efficiency at all levels of government; and we are committed to individual rights as well as responsibilities. In short, we are committed to the principles contained in the Virginia Republican Creed.
We are also committed to enjoying ourselves and the political process. We believe that politics can be fun, and we are good at maintaining the right balance. In the words off Ben Franklin, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”.
