To the Members of the Northumberland County Republican Committee:
Below is a proposed amendment to the Bylaws of the Northumberland County Republican Committee that will be considered at the September 2, 2010, meeting of the Committee in the Meeting Room of the Northumberland Public Library in Heathsville. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The amendment is proposed to ease establishing quorums at Committee meeting.
The proposed amendment is as follows: “Section 3 of Article IV is amended by replacing the words, “A majority of”, with the words, “No fewer than twenty (20)”.
At its July meeting, the Committee voted to bring this amendment to a vote at its September meeting.
The Committee’s current Bylaws are attached for your information.
